Without further ado, let me offer one reason for my little break from blogging. I have, for the last month or so, been caught up in the excitement of preparing for the newest addition to the Hansen family. In the last month, my beautiful wife and I received the news that we are going to be parents.

And so, there are grandparents-to-be to notify, aunts and uncles to call, doctors to find and make appointments with. All these things have been done. Now we are beginning to prepare the parsonage for a little one ... and oh yeah, late-night runs to the grocery store.

We are as excited and happy as we could possibly be. Everyone is healthy and doing well. And yes, that little grainy fuzzy image is my baby.

It seems that I took a little holiday from blogger ... just got out of the practice of daily blogging. Amazing how easy little things like that can just slip away if you're not paying attention. It makes me think about spiritual discipline. How many people think that faith just happens without any "exercise" on our part? How many people let those little things like daily prayer and daily study of Scripture just slip away?

Oh well, I'm back to blogging. Thank you for the kind emails and comments, and for your concern. Nothing has been wrong, just fell out of practice. Although there is news to share .....
